  • Beyond the Slide Deck: Step Inside the Energy Story

At Diggers & Dealers Forum 2026, Vast Visual Creative Studio partnered with Zenith Energy to transform energy concepts into an immersive virtual reality experience. Rather than relying on traditional presentation slides, delegates could step inside a seamless digital environment and explore a future-focused power ecosystem for themselves.

The virtual tour brought together wind turbines, solar panels, a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a thermal power plant and a power management system, all represented as detailed digital twins based on Zenith Energy’s concepts. The project was showcased as an engaging VR installation at Zenith Energy’s forum stand.

A better way to explain complex energy systems

Energy infrastructure is rarely simple. A single project can include multiple generation sources, storage assets, control systems and operational workflows—all working together across a vast physical footprint.

PowerPoint remains useful for structured information, but it can struggle to communicate how these systems connect in the real world. Audiences are asked to interpret diagrams, imagine scale, and mentally piece together technical relationships from a sequence of slides.

An immersive virtual tour changes that.

Instead of telling people how a hybrid energy system works, you can let them explore it. Visitors can move through the site, see renewable and thermal assets in context, understand the role of battery storage, and experience how the power management system brings the operation together.

From slides to a shared experience

A virtual reality environment turns a technical presentation into an active conversation.

For Zenith Energy’s Diggers & Dealers experience, the digital twin environment was designed to create a clear, connected story around an integrated energy solution. Delegates were able to see the components as part of one ecosystem rather than as isolated pieces of technology.

    This approach helps businesses communicate:

    • The physical scale and layout of a project before it is built

    • How renewable generation, storage and thermal assets work together

    • Complex operational concepts in a more intuitive format

    • The strategic value of an energy solution to investors, partners and customers

    • A forward-thinking brand story that is more likely to be remembered

    Why memorable experiences matter

At major industry events, attendees see countless booths, brochures, videos and presentation decks. The challenge is not simply sharing information—it is making that information stick.

Immersive experiences create stronger engagement because they ask the audience to participate. When someone puts on a headset and explores a site themselves, they are no longer just watching a presentation. They are interacting with the story.

For industrial, mining and energy businesses, this can be particularly powerful. It helps convert technical detail into a visual experience that is easier to understand, discuss and recall after the event.

A well-designed virtual tour also creates a natural focal point on the exhibition floor. It can draw people into the stand, encourage longer conversations with the team, and give visitors a compelling reason to return or share the experience with colleagues.
